Financial Assistance Across BordersA rapidly expanding company needed assistance developing the financial support and accounting structure for their newly established Mexican subsidiaries. EMW was hired to:
- Assist setting up the firm's accounting system,
- Interact with Mexican employment agencies,
- Find a qualified Mexican accounting firm,
- Perform monthly Mexican tax filing,
- Help with overall financial counseling, and
- Monitor financial results.
Working closely with the founders of a Wisconsin-based start-up software company, acting as the Chief Financial Officer, EMW developed a business model and investment strategy to attract outside capital, and participated in formation of the firm's business plan. The company won second place in the IT category in the State of Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan writing contest and earned a $5,000 award.
Obtaining Financing in Asia
A client recently established a wholly owned company in an Asian country. EMW arranged for local financing, resulting in lower finance costs and minimizing foreign currency exposures. Overall annual savings exceeded $50,000.

A U.S.-based client needed to simplify pricing for their multiple channels of distribution, while maintaining or increasing the level of profitability. EMW was engaged to complete internal, external, and competitive product price analyses.

Collections Assistance Pays Off
A Midwest U.S. company approached EMW to help in collecting from a debtor located in Southern Europe. On behalf of the client, we arranged for an attorney and local collection agency to recover the money due.
