Business remains robust, as does demand for products and services across a wide range of industries around the globe.  Companies continue to push the limits finding new markets for their products and services. EMW leads that journey wherever those opportunities may be.

Michael’s role at EMW has grown rapidly since his early days as a market research intern. Today, as a Senior International Business Developer, Michael’s  responsibilities include managing international sales territories, developing and implementing market entry plans, traveling to industry events and other specialized market visits, and advising on outbound and inbound international business development.

A highlight from Michael’s career at EMW includes leading a successful US market entry and expansion for a French software company in the telecommunications industry by managing sales channels and software partnerships. Michael also helped a US food service equipment manufacturer obtain product specifications to develop the optimal distribution channels to supply Saudi Arabia’s Giga Projects associated with the country’s Vision 2030.

Middle East Healthcare Opportunities Continue To Expand

The Healthcare sector in the Middle East has been steadily growing and all signs indicate that the opportunities for healthcare suppliers in the region will continue to increase. An aging population, in combination with heavy government spending into the healthcare sector, make the Middle East a very desirable market for healthcare equipment suppliers. Specifically, the six Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain) have significant government funding into the industry, as well as higher investment from the private sectors.

Although the Middle East is ripe with potential, it can also be a difficult market to enter, especially for companies with no prior market exposure. It is crucial to develop and implement a proactive market entry strategy to successfully take part in the healthcare industry in the region.

EMW Associates have been working in the Middle East healthcare sector for more than four decades, and have been exhibiting at the Arab Health trade show in Dubai for 10+ years with multiple clients. EMW has worked with all of the GCC countries, with the most experience in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. EMW has developed relationships with the major distributors in the region, even getting clients’ items specified with NUPCO, the Saudi public healthcare procurement platform.

If your company is questioning the best way to enter the Middle East healthcare market, reach out to EMW for advice!
